The provenance of our food, how it's grown and where it comes from, is at the heart of good living, and good eating. Our culinary journey starts with the soil, it moves slowly though our seasons, and finally flourishes on The Chef's plate. 


The Chef and The Gardener work in harmony to ensure that our menus reflect the very best of our home-grown ingredients.

An immersive kitchen garden experience 

From the vegetables, to the fruit trees, organic eggs and even Rufflets' very own honey. We want our guests to be part of this story too, so we invite you to dine outside, in the sunshine, or under the stars. Meander through our kitchen gardens and pick a handful of mint leaves for your herbal tea, or pluck a sun-warm apple from the tree. 

why book direct?

We always offer our lowest prices on our own website. If you find a lower qualifying rate within 24 hours of making your reservation, we will match the lower rate, and add an extra 5% discount.

If you need to cancel your reservation, as long as it’s at least 24 hours prior to your planned arrival date, we won’t charge you. Just e-mail (does not apply to advance purchase rates)

When you book directly with us, we will upgrade your booking to the next room category, subject to availability at check-in


Lunch and bar served from 12pm daily

Afternoon Tea served between 2pm and 4.30pm daily 

(minimum 24 hour advance booking required)

Dinner served between 6pm and 9pm daily
