Your journey begins where your ingredients begin - out in the kitchen garden. Our Head Gardener will introduce you to the wealth of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers we grow. Pick your own ingredients then head back to the kitchen to get to work with our Head Chef.
What your cooking class experience looks like
For a hearty, comforting meal, the humble pie takes a lot of beating. Here, we take you on a culinary journey, showing you how to perfect the art of making a Boeuf Bourguignon Pie. This cooking class experience has been created for the passionate home cook who is looking to acquire skills to become a proficient pie maker.
If you have a sweeter tooth, our seasonal pastry class is sugar-coated heaven. As the seasons offer up berries, orchard fruits, herbs and edible flowers, the chef will teach you how to create delicacies and desserts of refinement, and learn the skills and secrets of professionals.
Our outdoor classroom
Your skills will be tested in a 3-hour, hands-on garden to kitchen class, spending time in the kitchen garden first, gathering ingredients, then learning and making with the chef back indoors. Cooking with your classmates is an integral part of your experience.
Working together and solo
You'll cook some of your recipes in pairs, and some independently. The session will comprise of a mixture of hands-on cookery and demonstrations performed by the chef who is leading the class.
Once the hard work is over, you'll be rewarded with the opportunity to proudly devour your creation, along with a picture of your experience, a Rufflets apron and the recipes to take home.
