Rufflets’ Eco-Avengers Sustainable Tourism Break

Eco friendly break from only £122.00 per person.

Throughout March and April 2008 , all guests arriving at Rufflets by public transport, as a special treat for their thoughtful and sustainable travel, will receive a complimentary bottle of wine and free room upgrade to one of our feature rooms (SuiteTurrets) upon arrival, subject to availability.

With the early on-set of Spring, the days are getting longer, the gardens are waking up across the region, and remembering that the month of April has the lowest rainfall in the year, it is a perfect time to visit St Andrews.

Rufflets has adopted as policy the guidelines produced by The Green Tourism Business Scheme in a drive to establish best practice in developing its managing of sustainable tourism matters, and in 2007, became the first carbon-neutral hotel in Scotland. The Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) is an environmental accreditation scheme for Scottish tourism businesses, launched in 1998 by VisitScotland (formerly the Scottish Tourist Board). The scheme encourages tourism businesses to save money by improving their environmental performance and which helps to protect Scotland's key asset: the environment.

Since the conception of the Green Tourism Initiatives, Rufflets Country House has worked to adopt best practice by developing improved mechanisms to conserve energy, re-cycle waste, and to encourage the wild life, flora and fauna within its grounds.

An overnight stay at Rufflets, including a 3 course dinner and full Scottish breakfast in the elegant two AA red rosette Terrace restaurant overlooking the formal terraced gardens starts at £122.00 per person per night based on two people sharing.

Valid, dated proof of travel methods will be required on arrival. This offer is valid until 30th April 2008.
