How to get to Rufflets
Rufflets is located to the West of the Town Centre, set within its own 10 acres of gardens. The beaches, restaurants, historic buildings and golf courses in the centre of town are all no more than 5 minutes by car.
From the North via the Tay Road Bridge
Cross the Tay Road Bridge. At the first roundabout, take exit 2 and follow the dual-carriageway. At the second roundabout, take exit 1and follow the A919 Guardbridge / St Andrews road. You will pass by Drumoig, and then through the village of St Michaels, and then reach Leuchars. At the small roundabout in Leuchars, take the second exit towards Guardbridge. When you reach the roundabout in Guardbridge take the first exit on the left, A91 to St Andrews. Take the 1st junction on your right (next to a sandwich bar), following the brown tourist information signposts to Rufflets Hotel. Continue straight through the village of Strathkinness at the top of the hill and down to the crossroads. Turn left and follow the Rufflets sign on B939. Rufflets is 1.5 miles along this road on the right.
From the South via the Forth Road Bridge
Cross the Forth Road Bridge on M90. Take exit 2A and follow signs for Glenrothes/Tay Bridge A92. Go straight through next three roundabouts on A92. At the 4th roundabout (25 miles from Forth Road Bridge) take 3rd exit (A914) signposted St Andrews/ Cupar. Follow the road through Cupar and then take the A91 to St Andrews. Go straight through the roundabout at Guardbridge village and take the first turn off to the right, following the brown tourist information signs to Rufflets, as above.
From St Andrews (A91 approach)
When you reach the town boundary turn right at the first roundabout and follow the road through the public car park to the top of the hill. At the junction with Double Dykes Road turn right (do not go straight ahead into another car park). Continue along this road until it meets the junction with Hepburn Gardens, bear right. At the next junction bear right on B939 following the brown tourist sign for Rufflets. Keep on main road for approximately one mile. On leaving the town boundary go straight ahead at the roundabout and Rufflets is on your left.
